Free is the permanent starting experience. Every new account first receives 14 days of full Royal-level access without a subscription, charge, automatic conversion, or renewal. Royal is the only optional paid subscription and starts only after you tap Subscribe and confirm with Apple.

How do I subscribe to Royal?

When LumenLingo launches, open Membership in the app, choose Royal, then tap Subscribe and confirm with Apple. Royal does not begin until Apple shows the price for your region and you confirm.

What happens when my Royal access ends?

Accepted Answer

When complimentary access ends, you continue on Free automatically. If you cancel paid Royal, Apple shows when it expires, then Free access continues. Your local learning history remains unless you delete or reset it, while Royal-only features become unavailable. Unsynced local data can still be lost if the app or device is removed.

How do I cancel Royal?

Royal is billed by Apple. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, select LumenLingo, and tap Cancel Subscription. Apple shows when access ends. The complimentary 14 days is not a subscription and does not need cancelling.

What are background sounds and breathing exercises?

Background sounds create calm audio settings for study, while guided breathing offers a gentle pause between sessions. Both are designed to make focused practice feel more inviting.

How do review suggestions work?

LumenLingo looks at category completion, recent accuracy, and time since your last session to suggest what to practise next. Areas with lower recent accuracy may be prioritised, while completed material can return after time away. It does not predict an exact forgetting time for each word.

What practice modes are available?

LumenLingo includes Flash Cards, Grammar Challenge, and Word Builder. Each offers Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced content; access depends on your plan and the final App Store release.

Can I learn offline?

Royal is planned to include offline learning for supported practice content. Purchases, account changes, and Cloud Sync still need a connection, and final availability depends on the App Store release.

How are learning progress and Cloud Sync handled?

Optional Cloud Sync encrypts selected learning progress and settings on your device, then stores encrypted backups with Lumenshore's cloud-backup service and your private CloudKit container. Lumenshore's backup service stores encrypted learning records rather than plaintext.

How do I delete my data?

Use the app's Delete Account and reset controls to request deletion of account data and the server-side encrypted backup, and to remove local learning data. Account deletion has a 14-day cancellation period. A private CloudKit copy may require separate removal through Apple's controls, and limited legal retention or holds may apply.
